Record-breaking Kamal Haasan-Gautami starrer Papanasam has become the first Tamil film in 2015 to enter the Rs.100-crore club in respect of its theatrical collections.

Director Jeethu Joseph says actor-filmmaker Kamal Haasan-starrer Tamil thriller “Papanasam”, which releases in cinemas on Friday, has more emotional content than its original version “Drishyam”. “Papanasam” is the official remake of Mohanlal-starrer Malayalam blockbuster “Drishyam”.
It has been re-iterated by makers of Kamal Haasan’s upcoming film Papanasam that the film would be releasing next Friday (03rd July) in theatres worldwide as planned earlier.
