Arya Finds It Tough to Match Steps With Sayyeshaa in Ghajinikanth

Actor Arya, who has completed more than a decade in Tamil films and is still going strong as Kollywood’s ‘off-screen’ playboy, has conceded recently that he found it very tough to match steps with Sayyeshaa Saigal, his heroine in his upcoming comic venture Ghajinikanth.

Helmed by Santhosh P. Jayakumar (who made the adult comedy Hara Hara Mahadevaki last year), Ghajinikanth brings together the good-looking on-screen pair of Arya and the 20-year old Sayyeshaa (grand-niece of legendary Bollywood couple Saira Banu and Dileep Kumar) for the first time as lead pair. K.E. Gnanavel Raja is the film’s producer. Balamurali Balu is the music director.

The film’s single-track song was released recently at a function attended by most of the crew members. “Sayyeshaa had acted very well in her debut film Vanamagan last year and had danced unbelievably. I was, therefore, apprehensive in dancing with her for songs in Ghajinikanth when the shoot took place in Thailand. Somehow, with great difficulty, I adjusted and completed my dancing portion,” Arya said on the occasion.

“When the song was edited, I found Sayyeshaa dancing great and myself standing beside as a ‘mute spectator’. Though she doesn’t know to converse in Tamil, she memorizes her Tamil dialogues and gets her diction and pronunciation right during shoots. She is so committed and is keen to learn many things,” Arya concluded.
