A trio of heroines in the form of Sai Pallavi, Rakul Preet Singh and Arthana has been signed up to star in actor Suriya’s upcoming film to be directed by Selvaraghavan. To be the 36th film in Suriya’s career spanning almost two decades, the film hasn’t yet been titled. S.R. Prabhu’s Dream Warrior Pictures would be producing the film.
Suriya is presently busy with the Pongal release of his Vignesh Shivan-directed Thaana Serndha Koottam which has him romancing Keerthy Suresh for the first time on screen. Selvaraghavan, whose Nenjam Marappadhillai and Mannavan Vandhanadi are yet to release in theatres, gets to direct Suriya for the first time in a film.
The film’s muhurat was held on New Year day last Monday. Even before the launch of the film, it was announced that Mollywood’s Tamil actress Sai Pallavi would be the heroine of the film. It has now been confirmed that Rakul Preet Singh and Arthana would be the other two heroines in the film. It is not known whether the film would be a quadrangular love-story or a story of an action-packed backdrop.
It may be recalled that Rakul played Suriya’s younger brother Karthi’s heroine in Dream Warrior Pictures’ latest release Theeran Adhigaaram Ondru which released a few months back and became a super-duper hit film. The film’s shoot is likely to commence from the auspicious day of Pongal (next Sunday). Details of other technicians and artistes to be associated with the film would be revealed later.
