National award-winning actor Vikram’s son Dhruv, who is still in his teens, would soon be debuting in Tami films as hero in the Tamil remake of the super-hit Telugu film Arjun Reddy which released six weeks back and courted box-office glory.
Vikram had been looking for an ideal platform to launch his son and is said to be feeling convinced that Arjun Reddy has the perfect script to mark his son’s acting debut. Even the producer of the film has been finalized but Vikram is still looking for the ‘right director’ to bring out his son’s acting prowess.
Talks are on for two frontline heroines to play Dhruv’s romantic interest in the film. Akshara Haasan, Kamal Haasan’s youngest daughter, and Shriya Sharma (who played Suriya-Jyothika’s daughter in Sillunnu Oru Kadhal more than a decade back and who has debuted as heroine in Telugu films) have been approached to play the female lead, it is informed.
Other cast members, music director and other technicians haven’t yet been finalized.
