At a time critics and film-goers have almost written off actor-playback singer-producer-director Simbu’s acting skills after the release of his latest film Anbanavan Asaradhavan Adangadhavan which released a few months back, here comes the news that the mercurial actor is all set to expand his horizons by making his debut in a Hollywood film.
Award-winning cinematographer-film-maker Santosh Sivan would be the proposed film’s cinematographer. Sivan, who is busy with the post-production work of producer-director A.R. Murugadoss’ upcoming Tamil-Telugu bilingual Spyder, is likely to join the crew of Simbu’s maiden Hollywood film only in October.
As per the plans, the shoot of the Hollywood venture would be wrapped up in about three months as he crew plans to shoot non-stop. Junio Maestro Yuvan Shankar Raja would be debuting in Hollywood with the Sumbu by scoring the film’s music. Anthony would be the editor of the film besides directing the film and essaying the lead role.
Simbu hopes to wrap up the shoot by December so as to be able to commence the shoot of his first-ever film to be directed by ace director Mani Ratnam. Jyothika, Fahadh Faasil and Aravind Swamy are also part of the cast.
