The next three months are likely to witness huge activities on social networking sites in general and amid superstar Rajinikanth’s fans-cum-netizens in particular as the audio, teaser and trailer of Rajini’s upcoming film 2.0 (sequel to Rajini’s 2010 colossal hit film Enthiran: The Robot) are to be released in successive months starting from October, culminating in the film’s theatrical release across the globe in January.
Co-starring Akshay Kumar, Amy Jackson and Sudanshu Pandey in major roles, the Shankar-directed 2.0 has been produced at a whopping cost of Rs.400 crores by Lyka Productions. It is touted as the most expensive film ever to have been made in India in all the languages. The film’s shoot has been wrapped up and only a duet sequence featuring Rajini and Amy Jackson is to be shot, it is reliably learnt.
Lyka has indulged in unprecedented large-scale advertizing and publicity glitz and has hung two huge hot-air balloons in Hollywood and in London to publicize the film which is to release in more than 20,000 halls across the globe in January next year. Raju Mahalingam of Lyka said yesterday that the audio, teaser and trailer of the film would be released in October, November and December (respectively in that order).
Audio of the film is to be released in Dubai in October. Rajini and other stars and technicians are likely to take part in the audio-launch. Teaser of the film would be released at a grand event in Hyderabad in November while the film’s first full-fledged trailer would be released in Chennai.
