Actress Rakul Preet Singh, who is among the frontline actresses in Telugu, is making an attempt to comeback to Tamil films. The actress has revealed that she would love to land up a memorable role akin to that of ‘Sivagami’ in Baahubali essayed with aplomb by veteran Ramya Krishnan.
The actress, who debuted as an actress with Arun Vijay-Mamta Mohandoss starrer Thadaiyara Thakka (2012), sent on to star in Yennamo Yedho before making her foray into Telugu films. For some reasons, she wants to concentrate more in Telugu films where she has been delivering hit films from time to time and is among the top five heroines.
Rakul would be making a comeback soon in Tamil films by pairing up opposite Karthi in Sathuranga Vettai fame H. Vinoth’s Theeran Adhigaaram Ondru. She is also the heroine of Tollywood superstar Mahesh Babu’s Tamil-Telugu bilingual Spyder and has also signed up another important film opposite Suriya (untitled as yet) which would be directed by the mercurial Selvaraghavan.
“I was waiting for this to happen: get busy in Kollywood. I’m ready to make the most of it and find a permanent place in Kollywood,” says Rakul who adds that her wish has been to land up a memorable character like that of Ramya Krishnan’s ‘Sivagami’ in Baahubali and its sequel.
