Actress Taapses Pannu has said that she is keen not to repeat the mistakes, which she committed inadvertently in Kollywood, during her stint in Bollywood now.
The 30-year old and yet pretty-looking actress is eagerly awaiting the release of her upcoming Hindi film Judwaa 2 (sequel to the hilarious 1997 comedy Judwaa) has Taapsee playing the solo heroine. Heroines essaying solo heroine’s role has become almost a rarity in Bollywood, known for its many blockbuster multi-starrer films.
Judwaa 2 is hitting the screens across the country in four weeks’ time from now i.e. on 29th September but the crew is already busy with the film’s promotional events. Speaking to newsmen recently, Taapsee said that it was very tough to air an actress’ views on issue of concern in a bold manner. “It’s tough to speak openly without compromising on self-esteem,” says Taapsee, known for her bold statements earlier.
“I have many a time questioned myself as to whether what I was doing was right or wrong; at times, I have to remain determined to save my self-esteem which may not be to others’ liking. Of late, actresses are indulging more in pre-production and post-production activities as well as promotional events. I want to do a variety of films and don’t want to be typecast in certain roles.
“I have made some errors in judgment in Kollywood while accepting a few films and I have learnt from my mistakes. I won’t repeat them while taking up Bollywood ventures in future,” says Taapsee and adds in a lighter vein that she would only commit ‘new mistakes’ so as to learn more from them!
