Dhansika, who changed her name to Sai Dhansika prior to the release of her last year’s colossal hit film Kabali which had superstar Rajinikanth essaying the title role, is said to be heading the path shown by the Jyothikas, Nayantaras and Trishas of the film industry by preferring to star of late mostly in heroine-oriented films.
Heroines seek films of substance when their market goes down or when they don’t get offers of their liking. Nayantara and Trisha have already started proceeding in the ‘heroine-oriented films only’ lane though they have been taking part time and again in commercially successful ventures too. Dhansika’s upcoming Tamil-Telugu bilingual Kuzhali’s first-look posters were released recently by the curvaceious Kajal Aggarwal.
After Engamma Rani and Uru, Dhansika has taken on yet another film which is heroine-oriented. Ramana Mallam is the film’s debutant director and the film’s Telugu version has been titled as Vaalujadaa. 50% of the film’s shoot has been wrapped up and the next schedule of shoot commences in the first week of September.
Naveen Krishna plays the hero in the film which has Bollywood’s imperious Nana Patekar in a significant role. Siddharth Ramaswamy is the film’s cinematographer.
