It is rumoured strongly in Kollywood circles that actor Vijay Sethupathi might be paired up opposite Amy Jackson, the actress of British origin, in his upcoming film titled as Junga, which would be a sequel to his super-duper hit film Idharkuthaane Aasaipattai Balakumara which released a few years back.
Directed by Gokul, Idharkuthaane Aasaipattai Balakumara was a full-length comedy film which starred Vijay Sethupathi and Nandita Swetha in lead roles. Released in October 2013, the film was a runaway hit thanks to the film’s backdrop, the novel script, dialogues and Vijay Sethupathi’s ever-so-casual performance plus the songs composed by music director Siddharth Vipin, who also starred in the film.
While speaking at the success meet of the film, Vijay Sethupathi had revealed that he would star in the film’s sequel too. Gokul, who had also made the Jiiva-starrer Rowthiram (2011) and the Karthi-Nayantara starrer Kashmora last year, is teaming up with Vijay Sethupathi again for his next directorial venture titled as Junga, which would be a sequel to Idharkuthaane Aasaipattai Balakumara.
The crew is to leave soon for Paris for the first schedule of the film’s shoot. Though Vijay Sethupathi had shot abroad earlier for song sequences, this would be the first time he would be shooting some sequences in a foreign location. Vijay Sethupathi reportedly plays a don in the film which has Yogi Babu as the comedian. Vipin scores the music of the film which has Raju Sundaram as the dance choreographer.
