Comedian Senthil, the integral part of the famed ‘Goundamani-Senthil’ duo which ruled the roost in Tamil films for more than two decades and in 100-odd films, is making a comeback of sorts with Suriya’s upcoming film Thaana Serndha Koottam which is directed by Vignesh Shivan.
Suriya is paired up opposite Keerthy Suresh for the first time in this film, which has Ramya Krishnan, Saranya Ponvannan, Kovai Sarala, K.S. Ravikumar, RJ Balaji, Thambi Ramaiah and Sathyan in lead roles. The film’s shoot is almost complete and the first-look of the film, which was released on 23rd July on Suriya’s birthday, received appreciation from his fans and movie-goers.
Anirudh Ravichander gets to score the music of his first film with Suriya in the lead. Srikar Prasad is the film’s editor. Suriya plays a CBI official’s role in the film which marks the comeback of comedian Senthil after a long hiatus. “I’m happy to have been part of this film. I come throughout the film and in the script, I work in Suriya’s office as his colleague.
“Except duet songs, I accompany Suriya in all the sequences and am happy with the encouragement provided by the film’s crew members. I have also committed to act in three more films and am happy to be back in the industry,” says Senthil.
