Actor Simbu has quitted Twitter, a popular social networking site stating that felt ‘scary’ at times to be in Twitter amid many negative thoughts which were being uploaded on the site.
The colossal failure of his latest film Anbanavan Asaradhavan Adangadhavan notwithstanding, Simbu was quite active on Twitter and had been tweeting regularly and replying to fans’ queries and doubts about his career. He had also been airing his opinion on Twitter on issues of concern to the society in general and to the film industry in particular.
“Though I may have some negative thoughts in my mind, positive thinking and attitude are my strengths. However, it is pathetic to note that negative thoughts and ideas have been dominating today’s social networking sites. I feel rather ‘scary’ to be part of Twitter amid such a scenario.
“No doubt an artiste like me needs media to communicate with fans and others. However, I listen to what my heart tells me and am announcing my decision to quit Twitter. My appeal to my fans and others would be to continue to spread the message of love,” Simbu tweeted in what might be his last ‘tweet’ in the near future.
