Kabilan, younger son of national award-winning lyricist Vairamuthu, is amazed at actor Ajith Kumar’s dedication and hardwork which he watched from close quarters during the recently-wrapped shoot of the actor’s upcoming film Vivegam.
Kabilan, a lyricist and an author of short stories and novels, debuted as a screen-play writer with the Vijay Sethupathi-Madonna Sebastian starrer Kavan directed by K.V. Anand. Kabilan has now penned the screenplay and dialogues of Ajith Kumar’s Vivegam in association with director Siva.
Produced by Satyajyothi Films, Vivegam is to have a worldwide release on 24th August. “I have also penned two songs in the film and am glad about the fact that I could also contribute by way of assisting director Siva in penning the screenplay and dialogues. I have always felt that screenplay is the soul of a film. Siva gave me complete freedom to work in the film and I remain grateful to him for the confidence he showed in me.
“I learnt a lot from Ajith Sir by observing him from closely during the shoot of the film. His self-confidence and hardwork is incomparable and would take him to dizzying heights in future. Talking to him is akin to reading a very good book as I came to know about his far-sighted outlook about issues of concern, his commitment to his profession, food habits, physical exercises, etc.
“The film has shaped up very well and I’m waiting eagerly to watch the film on the first day (24th August) along with Ajith Sir’s fans,” concludes Kabilan.
