Picture-perfect Catherine Tresa, last seen in Tamil films in Arya’s Kadamban a few weeks back, is all set to sizzle on screen in her most glamourous avatar as on date in her Telugu film Gautham Nanda which hits the screen in less than 48 hours from now on 28th July.
Catherine Tresa, who turns 28 in a couple of months’ time, impressed Tamil audiences with her role of a typical Chennai girl in Pa. Ranjith’s successful venture Madras (2014) in which she was paired up opposite Karthi. She was later spotted in Kanithan, Kathakali and Kadamban but none of them turned out to be a super-duper hit film to force her to think of staying back in Chennai to make a career in Kollywood.
Tollywood, which always offered ‘second chance’ to Kollywood heroines, welcomed her as it did in 2013. She now awaits with huge interest the release in theatres of her upcoming film Gautham Nanda directed by Sampat Nandi. Gopichand (remember the menacing villain in ‘Jayam’ Ravi’s Jayam?), one of the leading heroes of Tollywood, is paired up opposite Catherine Tresa for the first time in this film.
“My character Mugdha in the film is very different from the ones that I have essayed in other language films so far. To add to this, I feel I’m at my glamourous best in this film; I earnestly hope audiences and fans would love my various looks in the film,” says an excited Catherine. “Without sounding preachy, the film has a universal message for its audiences,” she assures.
