Usually, fans of a frontline hero don’t like any other film releasing on the day when their matinee idol’s film hits the screens. They do everything possible to ensure that this doesn’t occur. However, fans of actor Ajith Kumar have always been different and they have whole-heartedly welcomed the simultaneous release of director Ram’s Andra Jeremiah-Vasanth Ravi-Anjali starrer Taramani.
Ajith’s Siva-directed Vivegam and Ram’s Taramani are to release simultaneously on 11th August. When it was announced yesterday by the makers of Taramani that it would release in theatres on 11th August, Ajith’s fans didn’t oppose it; instead, they have welcomed the film’s simultaneous release with their Thala’s film and have recorded congratulatory messages on social networking sites.
JSK Satheeshkumar, one of the producers of Taramani, is mighty happy and comes across as a relieved man. “It’s a very healthy environment and is a trend-setter for the days to come. I’m happy that Taramani has kick-started this process. It is also a clear indication that fans of this generation are vastly matured. I offer my thanks and greetings in particular to Ajith Kumar’s fans,” he said.
Ram’s third directorial venture Taramani, billed as an action-packed thriller, has Vasanth Ravi, Andrea Jeremiah and Anjali (in an extended cameo) in lead roles.
