Sai Pallavi, the most sought-after ‘Tamil’ girl in Mollywood and elsewhere, is all set to charm her Tamil fans by debuting in Tamil films by essaying the protagonist in director Vijay’s woman-centric Karu.
Pallavi’s Premam made a huge impression in 2015 as fans multiplied in numbers whenever they watched the film in theatres. Pallavi, who is a Tamil girl hailing from the industrial town of Coimbatore, was flooded with many offers to star in Tamil films by leading directors such as Mani Ratnam and Gautham Vasudev Menon. She was Menon’s first choice ahead of Manjima for Achcham Yenbadhu Madamaiyada.
As she was adamant in pursuing her degree in medicine, she lost out on many offers but has no regrets about her. She knows she lost out on offers to star opposite Vikram and Simbu but wants to start afresh in Kollwood now that she has completed her graduation in medicine.
She makes her debut in a direct Tamil film by playing the lead role in Vijay’s woman-oriented Karu after which plans to star in more and more Tamil films. While we are only too happy to extend a warm welcome to Pallavi, it remains to be seen whether film-makers make a beeline to her residence to sign her up to star in their films!
