Vested interests delaying release of Suriya’s Thaana Serndha Koottam?

It is rumoured that some vested interests have been actively involved in doing everything at their behest in disturbing and delaying the release in theatres of Suriya’s upcoming film Thaana Serndha Koottam.

Produced jointly by Gnanavel Raja’s Studio Green and Suriya’s 2-D Entertainment, Thaana Serndha Koottam has Suriya and Keerthy Suresh opposite each other for the first time. Others in the cast include Thambi Ramaiah, Ramya Krishnan, Suresh Menon, Anandaraj, Senthil, RJ Balaji, Sathyan and Karthik.

Vignesh Shivan of Naanum Rowdydhaan fame is the film’s director while Anirudh Ravichander scores the film’s music. The film’s shoot is said to have entered its final stages even as the crew has already commenced its post-production work well in advance. The ‘first-look’ of the film would be revealed on 23rd July on Suriya’s 42nd birthday.

In the meantime, it is said that the film’s release in theatres is doubtful in the backdrop of ‘red card’ displayed against Gnanavel Raja. Suriya is said to have asked Raja to resolve the issues as soon as possible. In case the issues remain unresolved when the film is ready to hit the screens, Suriya plans to release the film on his own by removing Gnanavel Raja’s name as one of the film’s producers.
