Remember Muktha Bhanu, who debuted as as heroine in Tamil films opposite Vishal with Thamirabharani in 2007? The actress, who had starred only in a couple of Malayalam films and a solitary Telugu film before it, looked plump in the film and appeared only occasionally in Tamil films including Azhagar Malai and Sattapadi Kuttram before playing a big role in Vasuvum Saravanum Onna Padichavanga (2015).
The 25-year old actress, who has now acquired an admirable hourglass figure after shedding flab and is known only as ‘Bhanu’, is playing the heroine in an upcoming film titled as Sagunthalavin Kadhalan which has P.V. Prasad as the hero. It may be recalled that Prasad produced and directed Nakul-Sunaina’s romantic film Kaadhalil Vizhundhen in 2008.
Besides Prasad and Bhanu, others essaying prominent roles in the film include Suman, Karunas, ‘Mottai’ Rajendran, Pasupathi, Jegan, Rajkapoor, Manobala, Manochitra, George and Nippu. Rasamathi is the cinematographer of the film which has music by Prasad himself who also takes care of the story, screenplay and dialogues besides producing and directing and playing the lead role in the film.
“I’m sure Sagunthalavin Kadhalan would be as breezy as Kaadhalil Vizhundhen. I have also taken up the additional responsibilities of scoring music and playing the lead role. My role of ‘Harikrishnan’ in the film would be loved by the people and talked about for a long time, I feel. We have tried to make the film as interesting as possible and have narrated the script in five possible angles,” concludes Prasad.
