Comedian Mayilsamy’s son Anbu is all set to make his debut as hero with an upcoming film titled as Thiripuram whose one-liner theme would be that the world can be changed neither as a goody-goody place nor as a place full of criminal activities.
Vedamani is the film’s debutant director who has also doubled up as the film’s producer. “It’s a horror-thriller which conveys a subtle yet strong message. ‘Karma’ is inevitable for all of us and depends on our thoughts and deeds. The film’s script is about an urban youth’s life and how things take place in his life in an unexpected manner.
“I have been in the industry for the past 20 years and had worked as assistant director of many popular television soaps. It is only with great difficulty that I have managed to make my debut as a director after a long time. I have also produced the film whose shoot has been wrapped up. Post-production work is going on and we plan to release the film in August,” informs Vedamani.
Anbu, Brindha, Sasikumar, Sams, Manobala, ‘Lollu Sabha’ Swaminathan, ‘Pichaikkaran’ Darshyan, Niharika and Naresh play prominent roles in the film which has music by Ganesh Chandrasekaran. ‘Junior Maestro’ Yuvan Shan Raja, who happened to listen to the film’s songs, was so impressed with Ganesh’s work that he has volunteered to release the film’s songs under his music firm’s banner.
