Actress Padmapriya is the latest addition to the list of actresses who have been trying out their luck in the entertainment industry after their marriages.
After Jyothika, Manju Warrier and Amala Paul, we now have Padmapriya returning to films three years after her marriage to Massachusetts-based Jasmine Shah in 2014. She plays the lead role in the script-oriented Sivaranjiniyum Innum Sila Pengalum which is directed by noted film-maker Vasanth. Popular carnatic vocalist Sudha Raghunathan makes her debut as music director with this film.
The Pattiyal, Mirugam and Thavamai Thavamirindhu actress, is also making her comeback in Telugu films by pairing up opposite Jagapati Babu in his upcoming film. “I was to pair up opposite Jagapati Babu in 2002 itself but missed out on the offer. I’m happy that it has become a reality now. I play an ultra-modern girl in the film,” says the 35-year old actress.
“I have a huge appetite as an actress and want to take on all kinds or roles. In fact, I’d be spotted regularly in films from now on,” says the actress, who is also a trained classical Bharatnatyam dancer.
