Popular Malayalam actor Nivin Pauly is all set to make his debut in a direct Tamil film with Richie, which is being directed by Gautham Ramachandran.
Pauly, who had starred in the Tamil-Malayalam flick Neram (2013) and who won many female fans in Tamil Nadu and elsewhere with his lead role in the 2015 super-duper hit film Premam, is dubbing in his own voice for his character of a local thug in his first direct Tamil film Richie.
Cinematographer-actor ‘Natty’ Subramaniam, Shraddha Srinath, Lakshmi Priyaa, Prakash Raj, ‘Aadukalam’ Murugadoss, Ashwin Kumar, G.K. Reddy and Priyanka Kumar form the rest of the cast in Richie which is producd by the duo of Anand Kumar and Vinod Shomur. B. Ajaneesh Loknath is the fim’s music director while Pandi Kumar has handled the camera.
Richie (which was earlier titled as Avargal) is the Tamil remake of the 2014 Kannada hit film Ulidavaru Kandanthe. The film’s shoot, which was held in Tuticorin, Manappadu and Courtlam, has reached its final stages, as revealed by Nivin Pauly on his Twitter account.
