Lanky Anushka Shetty, who impressed her fans, critics and movie-goers alike in her latest film Baahubali 2, has said that it felt painful to come across ill-timed comments from fans and others on her body weight which she couldn’t control.
“Many are under the impression that actress’ life is a bed of roses; they have no idea about the mental agony we undergo,” says the yoga instructor-turned-actress. Of late, especially after the super-success of Baahubali 2, Anuskha has started speaking about her personal things, something which she did very rarely before the release of the Baahubali prequel and sequel.
“I have no time to get married now and won’t think about it till I complete my pending assignments,” she says. To another query about how her family members felt about it (her marriage), she says that she was surely under pressure from them to get married at the earliest. “They want me to continue to act after marriage but I have asked them to keep mum till I finish the films on my hands,” Anushka says.
“We actresses tend to feel physical and mental agony after shooting under hot sun and at places where we are not so comfortable. Though I’ve been playing heroine-oriented roles of late, I also have undergone bouts of agony which I haven’t even revealed to my family members so as not to make them feel bad,” she confesses.
On another note, Anushka says she couldn’t control her weight which she increased by several pounds for Size Zero. “People have been making ill-timed comments without realizing how hard I tried to reduce my weight,” she laughs.
