Actress Rakul Preet Singh has said that she is ready to lock lips with her co-star on screen provided that the lip-lock sequence is not inserted in the script for the sake of exciting the audiences and is shot in an aesthetic manner.
Rakul is basking in the glory of box-office success of her latest Telugu film Rarandoi Veduka Chudham opposite Naga Chaitanya which released in theatres last Friday. The actress’ paavadai-dhaavani costumes in the film, worn apparently at the behest of Tollywood superstar, producer and Naga’s father Nagarjuna, have won her huge laurels and appreciation from critics/fans who say she looks like an ‘angel’ in the film.
Rakul is making a comeback in Tamil films with Mahesh Babu’s Tamil-Telugu bilingual Spyder as well as with Theeran Adhigaram Ondru opposite Karthi. Speaking to newsmen recently, she said she was happy with the success of her latest Telugu film and thanked fans for treating her as their ‘neighbour’.
“I continue to learn new things each day in films and work hard not bothering much about success or failure. Glamour is part of the film industry and fans obvious expect their favourite actresses to be clad in glam-filled costumes,” she said justifying glam-filled costumes in films.
“I’m ready to lock lips with my co-star on screen provided that the sequence is not an ‘inserted one’ in the script merely for the sake of publicity and exciting audiences. It ought to be part of the script and shouldn’t be done for anything else,” Rakul says.
