Actor Ajith Kumar is said to have suffered injuries on his hands while shooting recently for a stunt sequence in Europe for his upcoming film Vivegam.
Ajith Kumar and director Siva have joined hands for the third time for Vivegam (after delivering hit films in the form of Veeram and Vedalam) which has Ajith romancing the curvaceous Kajal Aggarwal for the first time on screen. It also marks the Tamil debut of actress Akshara Haasan, younger daughter of ‘Ulagayanagan’ Kamal Haasan. Kollywood’s Vivek Oberoi too makes his debut as an antagonist in Kollywood.
The film’s shoot, which commenced late last year, was held mostly in Europe and is presently being held in Bulgaria. As always, Ajith was determined not to use a ‘body double’ and insisted in performing on his own his share of stunt sequences. He suffered injuries on his hands but realizing that if he took a break, it might hurt the producers’ interest (as they were shooting abroad), Ajith went ahead with the shoot.
Ajith suffered injuries during the shoot of his Vedalam as well as Arrambam and is known to have gone under the knife many a time during his professional career. It may be recalled that the deceased former chief-minister J. Jayalalithaa once advised Ajith not to ‘risk’ his life by performing daredevil stunts but Ajith being Ajith, he continues to court danger!
