Alphonse Puthren, who made the 2015 super-duper Malayalam hit film Premam, has said that he has on hand a tailor-made script to suit Ajith Kumar’s on-screen image.
Puthren debuted as director with the Nivin Pauly-Nazriya Nazim hit film Neram more than four years back; his Premam made him hugely popular across the country as the film was remade later in Telugu also besides finding a couple of promising actresses in Sai Pallavi and Anupama Parameswaran.
A known fan of superstar Rajinikanth and Ajith, Puthren was replying to a specific query from a fan on his Facebook account when he spoke of the script for Ajith. “A decade back, I and my friend Karthikeyan tried to meet Ajith at his Chennai residence; though we waited for 3 hours, we couldn’t meet him. I haven’t met him till date and feel that the wait was worth as I’d meet him only when I get to direct him in a film.
“I have to update myself and grow more as a film-maker before he gives me the nod. However, I have a tailor-made script for Ajith right now and would be making a film provided I get the green signal from Ajith,” Puthren concludes.
