Bollywood’s Huma Qureshi, who has defied the ‘size zero’ syndrome in the same manner in which Rajini’s Lingaa heroine Sonakshi Sinha has done, is getting paired up opposite superstar Rajinikanth in his upcoming untitled film to be directed by Pa. Ranjith and which goes to floors from 28th May onwards.
Huma, who turns 31 in a couple of months, is the latest import from Bollywood to be making her Tamil debut. Doing so especially in a film which has Kollywood’s ‘Baadsha’ Rajini in the lead must have been a dream come true for Huma who hasn’t yet aired her views on making her Tamil debut opposite the ‘man of the masses’.
Rajini and Ranjith are coming together for the second time in two years after last year’s colossal hit film Kabali in the untitled film produced by Rajini’s son-in-law and national award-winning actor Dhanush. Santhosh Narayanan is to compose the music of the film, in an attempt to re-create the ‘Kabali’ crores.
Huma, who debuted with Anurag Kashyap’s Gangs of Wasseypur a few years back, has always defied the ‘size zero’ syndrome with her slightly plumb but voluptuous figure. Huma thus replaces Vidya Balan, the national award-winning actress who was in contention to play Rajini’s heroine, and makes Trisha wait for at least one more year to fulfill her dream of pairing up opposite Rajini in at least one film!
