Windshield of national award-winning playback singer Chinmayi Sripada’s car was broken up in U.S. and some valuables were looted; the singer, who is very active on social networking sites, has revealed it on her latest posting in her Twitter account.
Chinmayi, who debuted as playback singer with Mani Ratnam’s Kannathil Muthamittal in 2002 in Oscar-award winning music director A.R. Rahman’s music, has been one of the busiest singers in Kollywood. The multi-faceted Chinmayee, who is an RJ, television host and runs a translation services firm, was in the news recently when she had blamed fellow singer Suchitra of planting false news about her via ‘#Suchileaks#’.
She had been to the U.S. to produce her own video album and to take part in a few scheduled music concerts across the country. She tweeted yesterday afternoon stating that her car, which was parked in front of a commercial complex, had been looted after miscreants broke up the windshield and took away valuables including her handbag.
“I stand beside the broken windshield as I find myself speechless; everything which was kept inside the car had been stolen. I don’t know why God has been testing me like this!” Chinmayi’s tweet said.
