It has been reported that Rajamouli’s magnum opus Baahubali 2 has collected Rs.792 crores the world over in its first six days in theatres!
Rajamouli’s dream project Baahubali 2: The Conclusion (sequel to his own super-hit film Baahubali: The Beginning which released in 2015) released in theatres last Friday (28th April) across the globe. The film lived upto its pre-release billing by becoming a rage among movie-goers, youths, elders, kids, etc. and has been going great guns in all the centres it was screened.
It released in more than 6,500 halls across the world. Prabhas, Rana Daggubati, Ramya Krishnan, Tamannaah and Anushka Shetty play major roles in the film which has music by Keeravani.
It collected a whopping Rs.121 crores on its very first day and the collections in theatres kept moving at a steady pace with each passing day, reaching an unbelievable figure of Rs.792 crores in just six days, which is a new Indian record for any language film.
The Hindi-dubbed version alone has collected more than Rs.375 crores and is expected to gross more than Rs.1000 crores in a few days’ time.
The makers of the film have informed that the Japanese and Chinese dubbed versions of Baahubali 2 may be released soon.
