Kalaiyarasan and D Hansika’s horror film Uru is slated for May 19 release. The film also has Mime Gopi, Daniel Anne Pope, Tamil Selvi and Karthika playing important tiles.
Vicky Anand, the director of the film has also penned the story, screenplay and dialogues. Vicky says ““URU” means fear, the script is written based on “Fear” so we feel it to be the should be apt title”.
As per the script, Kalaiyarasan plays the role of a young outdated novel writer, who writes traditional family stories.
Kalai’s character is pushed to a state, where his style of writing does not interest youngsters and he seems outdated among the new gen writers so he plans to start his new thriller novel which focuses to attract youngsters, he travels to Megamalai and unusual things happen around him during that point is the rest of the story.
Interesting fact is there is no intervention of ghost at any point in the movie.
Most of the shoot happened in night time at Kodaikannal and we got into trouble few times because of forest buffaloes in forest which roam around as a gang.
The shoot took place during the month of December and sources say Malaiarasan and Dhansika struggled a lot during the shoot as the temperature was below 5 degrees.
