Tollywood’s Prabhas has confessed that he can’t imagine himself being part of another mega-project like Baahubali in the near future.
Starring Prabhas, Anushka, Tamannaah, Rana Daggubati, Nassar and Ramya Krishnan in the lead, S.S. Rajamouli’s Baahubali released in 2015 and became a super-duper hit. Its sequel Baahubali 2 is now all set to release in theatres worldwide next Friday (28th April). The film’s crew is busy promoting the film across the country.
Prabhas, who had allotted a total of five full years to star in both the prequel and sequel of Baahubali, says that he never intended to take to politics in view of his new-found high popularity post-Baahubali period. “I never dreamt of being in politics,” he says and adds that it was a memorable experience to have been part of the Baahubali series. “It’s Rajamouli Sir’s dream; I only supported it by acting in the film,” he says.
Queried when he would attempt another Baahubali, Prabhas says it would take his breath out if he did so. “It’s not easy to plan and put into action the plan to make a film like Baahubali; I feel only Rajamouli can do so,” Prabhas concludes.
It is said that Bollywood’s Karan Johar, who releases the Hindi-dubbed version of Baahubali across North India, plans to make a direct Hindi film starring Prabhas in the lead. An announcement in this regard is likely to be made after Baahubali 2 hits the screens.
