Professional boxer-turned-actress Ritika Singh has said that she doesn’t know the ‘ABCD’ of the act of ‘blushing’. “In fact, I never felt the need for it,” she adds.
Ritika, the Punjabi Kudi who debuted as an actress with last year’s super-hit venture Irudhi Suttru opposite Madhavan where she played her real-life character of a boxer and won special appreciation at last year’s national awards function, is excited as her latest film Shivalinga opposite Raghava Lawrence hits the screen today (14th April).
After impressing audiences in general and Tamil youths in particular with her first couple of films, Ritika spoke about her latest film on the eve of the film’s release. “I have tried my best to showcase my talents in the film.
Dance sequences required me to don glam-filled costumes and I did so. As I’m now well-versed in dancing, I got injured on my knees during the shoot of a song sequence.
“Dancing while in saree was the toughest job for me; I’m not used to donning saree frequently and it was only with a great effort that I ensured that it didn’t ‘slip’ off my hips,” says Ritika smilingly. On another note, she added that she had no idea of what ‘blushing’ means.
“I don’t know the ABCD of blushing as I never felt the need to do feel so. I think Iwon’t blush even when I get married in future,” Singh concludes.
