It’s unbelievable but appears to be true: Vijay Sethupathi, who has been the toast of Kollywood for the past few year after delivering one hit film after the other, is said to be in talks to make his debut in Hindi films!
Critics in trade circles say with skepticism that Bollywood is full of moustache-less Khans (Aamir Khan, Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan), Akshay Kumar, Hrithik Roshan, Ranbir Kapoor, etc. and as such, it remains to be seen whether Hindi audiences accept Vijay Sethupathi as a hero.
Basking in the glory of the box-office success of his Kavan which released last Friday in theatres, Vijay Sethupathi is said to have been confirmed to play a pivotal role in Bollywood director Anurag Kashyap’s next project. Anurag, however, would only be directing the film titled as Mard Ko Dard Nahin Hota to be directed by his aide Vasan Bala.
When asked to confirm, Vijay Sethupathi played it diplomatically and said that as talks are on at a crucial stage, he can’t divulge anything at the moment. Vijay Sethupathi won’t play the lead role but a pivotal role in the film which has newcomers Radhika Madan and Abhimanyu Dasani in the lead.
