Speaking during a recent promotional event, Akshara said that she hasn’t been staying with any of her estranged parents since July last year. “I was staying with my mother in Mumbai till last July after which I started residing alone at my own apartment. My parents like my independent ways as they have always encouraged the trend of girls to be independent and on their own.
“It’s not so easy for heirs of actors/actresses/directors to get film offers so easily; there is a popular perception that things fall in place so easily for them. In fact, the fame can be a real head-ache; I experienced it personally. Talent alone can take one places in any language industry. Thankfully, Shruti and I have now started revealing our own identities and have emerged out of the shadows of our famed parents,” she said.
