Aishwarya Dhanush, wife of the national award-winning actor Dhanush, has expressed her desire to direct Simbu at least in one film.
Aishwarya, who courted controversy after her Bharatnatyam recital at the U.N. a fortnight back was pilloried by critics, debuted as director with 3 in 2012. Despite Dhanush and Shruti Haasan’s effective performances and music by Anirudh Ravichander, the film didn’t end up as a success story.
Unfazed, Aishwarya then made the Gautham Karthik-Priya Anand-Taapsee starrer Vai Raja Vai which also turned out to be a below-average grosser at the box-office. Busy with the biopic on Paralympic Gold medal winner Mariyappan, Aishwarya has now expressed her desire to direct Simbu in at least one film.
She is said to have prepared the script and is waiting for Simbu’s appointment to narrate the script to him. It is not clear whether Dhanush, who has always displayed good camaraderie with Simbu in public, has ‘okayed’ the project!
