Nadigar Sangam president Nassar has lauded producer-actor RK’s latest trend of distributing films through ‘hit-box’ mode and added that this could well turn out to be a pioneering mode of film distribution in the years to come. He said that RK’s technique was all the more appreciable at a time when there are increasing rumours or producers getting threatened or cheated.
Produced by RK’s ‘Makkal Paasarai’ and directed by Shaji Kailas, Vaigai Express having RK and curvaceous Neetu Chandra in lead roles is touted as a riveting action-packed thriller with no songs in it. Sizzling Komal Sharma and Iniya are also part of the film’s cast which also has popular television anchor Archana in a significant role.
Speaking at the trailer-launch function held at Kamala Cinemas, Nassar said “I’m about to complete 500 films as an actor and I can say Vaigai Express is certainly one of my most notable films. I agreed to do the film not for the fee but for the cordial atmosphere which prevailed in the sets. RK’s attempt at ‘hit-box’ distribution is a welcome move; I appreciate him for having taken up the lead in Kollywood to do so.
“I have come specifically to wish him for having done so at a time when producers increasing face threats, intimidation and cheating. RK’s solution could bring more light in their lives. Though technology has progressed in aviation, who would forget the first-ever flight by Wright Brothers? Likewise, RK’s novel idea would never be forgotten in future too,” Nassar concluded.
