Tollywood’s S.S. Rajamouli, who has acquired the nick-name of ‘show-man’ of Telugu films, is gearing up for the release in theatres of his upcoming film Baahubali 2, sequel to his colossal hit film Baahubali which released in 2015.
Set to release in theatres on 28th April, Baahubali is easily the second most-waited film of the year, second only to superstar Rajinikanth’s 2.0 helmed by Shankar which is expected to release in a few months’ time.
Baahubali collected more than Rs.600 crores at the global box-office as it was released simultaneously in its Tamil, Telugu and Hindi versions. Starring Prabhas, Rana Daggubati, Tamannaah, Anushka and Sathyaraj in led roles, the sequel is also expected to do equal if not more business as compared to the prequel.
Rajamouli is keen to ensure that the sequel is grander than the prequel and has put in all the necessary hard-work. Busy with the making of the film’s trailer, Rajamouli said that he was satisfied about the whole effort of his crew members. “I’m about to wrap up a huge thing; haven’t decided yet about my next project. Mahabharat is also certainly on the cards,” he says grinning.
