It is rumoured in Kollywood that ‘action king’ Arjun has agreed to play Vishal’s antagonist in the latter’s upcoming film titled as Irumbu Thirai.
Directed by debutant director Mithran, Irumbu Thirai pits Vishal opposite the pretty-looking Samantha, who was recently engaged to marry Tollywood’s Naga Chaitanya. Yuvan Shankar Raja is scoring the music of the film whose shoot had already commenced.
It was initially reported that Vishal’s close friend and actor Arya would play Vishal’s villain in the film. However, as it turned out, Arya back-tracked later realizing playing the antagonist would deeply dent the box-office prospects of his upcoming film Kadamban opposite Catherine Tresa and informed Vishal of decision to back out of the film.
It is now reported that Arjun, whose Vedam years ago had Vishal as one of the many assistant directors, has agreed to play Vishal’s villain as a result of the excellent rapport the two actors share. It may be recalled that Arjun’s daughter Aishwarya debuted as heroine in Tamil films with Pattathu Yaanai opposite Vishal a few years back.
