It is rumoured in Kollywood circles that actress Nithya Menen, whose talent as an actress was never in doubt, is upset that she hasn’t been getting films opposite top and young heroes.
Nithya is said to have poured out her thoughts to her close circle of friends telling them that she is mostly offered second/third heroine’s roles in films. “I know I don’t lag behind in beauty, youthfulness and in acting prowess; still, it feels humiliating not to be offered the main heroine’s roles in films,” she regrets to her friends.
She reportedly discussed the issue with choreographer-turned-hero-turned-filmmaker Raghava Lawrence with whom she starred in Kanchana 2. Raghava has told her to first bring her body to a ‘specific’ shape before hoping to land up offers to star in films starring frontline heroines in the lead.
“Unless you stay fit and acquire an attractive figure, it would be very difficult for you to continue to remain a frontline actress,” Raghava is said to have advised Nithya who is said to have consulted ‘weight reduction’ tactics with Anushka Sharma.
