A Family Court in Chennai has pulled up actress Rambha for not appearing in person in connection with the hearing of a custody filed by her.
Rambha, known as ‘thunder thighs’ and who was the ‘dream girl’ of Tamil youths during the nineties, got married to Canada-based Indrakumar in 2010. She settled in Canada after the marriage. The couple has two girl children.
After developing serious misunderstanding with her husband, Rambha shifted to Chennai some time last year. She later filed as case with the Family Court in Chennai.
Requesting the Court to make efforts to help her re-union with her husband, Rambha said that as she wasn’t having any income (she stopped acting soon after marriage) from her profession as actress, she wanted her husband to pay maintenance of Rs.1.5 per lakhs to her and Rs.50,000 per month for the kids totaling to Rs.2.5 lakhs. When the case came up for hearing on 03rd December, Ramya didn’t attend the hearing.
Rambha had further requested the Court to declare her as the ‘legal custodian’ of the children as she hadn’t been living with her husband and was taking care of the children. When the case came up for hearing yesterday, neither Rambha nor Indrakumar were present at the Court. Justice Poonguzhali objected to this and pulled up Rambha’s counsel for her non-appearance at the Court during hearings and postponed the next hearing in the case to 04th February.
