It is reported that playback singer-turned-actress Andrea Jeremiah would be essaying a ‘negative’ role in actor-producer Vishal’s upcoming film Thupparivaalan.
As reported earlier, Rakul Preet Singh was first offered the heroine’s role opposite Vishal in the film produced jointly by Vishal and S. Nandhagopal. Raku took up the project but quit before the shoot commenced stating that she had ‘call-sheet’ issues. She was later replaced by Anu Emmanuel, a stunning-looking newbie from Kerala.
This is also Vishal’s first film with Mysskin, who has penned the story, screenplay and dialogues in the film besides directing it and essaying a ‘cameo’. Arrol Corelli scores the music of the film which is to hit the screens during Tamil New Year in April. K. Bhagyaraj, Prasanna and Vinay Rai play prominent roles in the film.
Andrea was roped in to replace Akshara Haasan, who was the first choice for the role. Andrea’s role in the film is said to have plenty of ‘grey shades’; the picture-perfect actress is said to be featuring in some action sequences as well. It is now known whether Andrea’s role of a female antagonist would be as powerful as Ramya Krishnan’s in superstar Rajinikanth’s super-duper hit film Padaiyappa!
60% of the film’s shoot has been wrapped up, the crew informs.
