Ritika Singh, who won the best debutant Filmfare Award for her riveting performance in Saala Khadoos, the Hindi version of Irudhi Suttru, took to her official Facebook page and dedicated the award to all the sportsmen and sportswomen of India.
“‘If someone offers you an amazing opportunity and you’re not sure you can do it, say yes – then learn how to do it later’. I live by this quote and I firmly believe in it!
And guys trust me when I say this, nothing is impossible! If someone like me who has no acting background whatsoever can win a recognition this big, there’s nothing that you guys can’t do! I won the #Filmfare award for my film #SaalaKhadoos last night and it is a beautiful feeling.”
“And I dedicate this award to all the sportsmen and sportswomen of India who work so hard in spite of facing so many difficulties and win medals for our country! I know life is hard for us, but things are slowly changing and people have started recognising the talent that we have always had!
Thank you so much everybody for all the love that you guys have given me since my film released last year! I love you all,” she posted.
