It has been reported from reliable sources that actor-producer Vijay Sethupathi’s upcoming film has been titled as Karuppan.
Vijay Sethupathi has cemented his place as one of the most bankable stars in Tamil films by delivering not one but six back-to-back hit films in 2016.
This year too, he starts things on a positive note as his much-delayed Puriyaadha Pudhir opposite Gayathrie is hitting the screens this weekend during Pongal.
His next release would be Kavan, directed by cinematographer-director K.V. Anand. He would then have his Vikram Vedha, in which he plays an antagonist opposite Madhavan, releasing in theatres. In the meantime, Vijay Sethupathi has joined hands with director Panneerselvam of Renigunta fame.
To be produced by A.M. Rathnam, the film which brings together Panneerselvam and Vijay Sethupathi for the first time has been titled as Karuppan.
The script, which is set in a rural backdrop, would have Bobby Simha (who won the national award for best supporting actor for his role in Jigarthanda) as the antagonist. D. Imman scores the music of the film which goes to the floors the day-after-tomorrow (11th January).
