Aishwarya, superstar Rajinikanth’s eldest daughter and the filmmaker-author wife of national award-winning actor Dhanush, has said that she wanted to ‘surprise’ her husband by revealing her hitherto unknown ‘face’ of an author.
Aishwarya’s maiden novel Standing On An Apple Box was launched a few days back in Mumbai amid a battery of Mumbai’s entertainment industry including film-maker Karan Johar who has of late become very close to superstar Rajinikanth’s family. Commenting about her foray into the world of literature, Aishwarya said that she had penned her own life history in the form of a book.
“I had a penchant for writing right from my younger days. However, I never planned to write a Book; it occurred automatically. My family was very happy when I completed my manuscript and showed them my thoughts. I’m gifted with a very good family who support me whole-heartedly in all my ventures. Whenever I go out of Station for shooting, my mother takes care of my kids.
“Dhanush has always been a pillar of support; my father and husband feel proud of me for authoring this book. My father had an inkling that I may become an author one day but Dhanush had no idea that I’d write a Book containing 180 pages and was pleasantly surprised when I revealed my ‘other face’ to him,” Aishwarya concludes.
