Actress Amala Paul, who has been on a roll in Tamil films, has signed up her next film which would be her first against Vishnu Vishal.
The untitled film, which would be directed by Ram Kumar of Mundasupatti fame, pits Amala and Vishnu opposite each other for the first time on-screen. Vishnu is fresh from the super-duper success of his latest film Velainnu Vandhutta Vellaikaran while Amala is busy with her commitments to star in various films.
Soon after committing herself to essaying Malavika’s role in the sequel to Susi Ganesan’s Thiruttu Payale, Amala has now signed up to star in Vishnu’s film. Ram Kumar has said that it would be a crime thriller and Vishnu would be essaying a powerful cop’s role in the film.
The film goes to the floors tomorrow i.e. on 29th November. Vishnu said that he was sure it would be an exciting project. “I’m happy to be working with Ram Kumar again; though I know the film would be very different from my earlier films, I can’t reveal much at this stage,” says Vishnu. To be produced by Axess Film Factory, the film would have music by M. Ghibran.
