Usually, days prior to and during the release in theatres of superstar Rajinikanth’s films look like carnival time to Rajini’s millions of fans in particular and to movie-goers in general. Many unbelievable incidents come to light during these days!
When Rajini’s super-duper hit films such as Sivaji: The Boss, Enthiran: The Robot and Kabali hit the screens, roads in the State and elsewhere wore a deserted look.
In particular in Chennai, the date on which Rajini’s latest film Kabali released looked like it was an ‘unofficially’ official holiday for everybody including private firms’ employees who were given ‘paid holidays’ to watch their Thalaivar’s film on the very first day!
Such a craze can only occur when a film starring Rajini hits the screens. It has just been reported that Rajini’s upcoming Shankar-directed 2.0 would be released in theatres during Deepavali next year on 19th October.
No hero wants to release his film in theaters and to clash with Rajini at the box-office; many heroes have tried it in the past and ended up licking their bruises as Rajini invariably emerged as the victor.
Rajini’s fans have already started the countdown to watch their hero’s first-ever full-length 3-D film in theatres by using special pair of spectacles which would be supplied in theatres!
