Nayantara, whose career in Tamil films has reached an unprecedented high, is said to be very reluctant in pairing up opposite senior heroes in Tami and Telugu films.
Nayantara, who made a comeback to Tamil films three years back with Ajith’s Vishnuvrdhan-directed Arrambam, has never looked back and has been delivering one super-hit film after another, asserting her position as the ‘No.1’ actress in Tamil films. Her fee per film is said to have reached an unbelievable figure of Rs.3.5-4 crores!
Meanwhile, it is reported that Nayan has taken a conscious decision not to pair up opposite senior (aged) heroes in Tamil and Telugu. She recently refused the offer to pair up opposite Tollywood’s ‘power star’ Pawan Kalyan in the Telugu remake of Vedalam as she felt that her roles in such huge stars’ films would only be limited to insignificant roles involving singing duets by running around trees.
She is said to be looking for heroine-oriented scripts and roles which would keep her in public memory for a long time. Another facet of Nayantara is that the actress, who earlier didn’t think twice about flaunting her figure and donning glamour-filled costumes, is said to be very conscious of what she wears in song sequences!
