Ace director Gautham Vasudev Menon has said that his next two films would star Vikram and Suriya in the lead.
Menon’s much-delayed and much-awaited Achcham Yenbadhu Madamaiyada, starring Simbu and newbie Manjima Mohan in the lead, released in theatres last Friday (11th November).
Despite the video piracy menace, the film is said to be doing reasonably well in theatres with Simbu’s fans not failing once again to patronize their favourite hero’s film at all the centres.
Speaking on the eve of the film’s release, Menon said that he remained clueless about the delay in the film’s release and added that he won’t do a ‘Sivakarthikeyan’ by crying on-stage for the delay.
“I couldn’t work with Suriya earlier as he didn’t like the script which I narrated to him. He said that the script was universal in nature and that it would be better if the film is made in English and not in Tamil.
“I told him that the Tamil film would be made in English film-style. He couldn’t agree to this idea because of which we couldn’t work together. However, we are in talks now to work in another film and I’m sure he would agree to star in my film this time.
My next film, however, would have Vikram in the lead,” he said and added that he was absolutely comfortable making ‘Menon-style’ of films which may appear similar.
