Ace director Gautham Vasudev Menon took a dig at actor Sivakarthikeyan by saying that he won’t cry on-state despite the many professional crises he facd prior to the release of his lastest director venture.
Menon’s ‘dig’ came at the meet-the-press event held on Thursday on the eve of the release of his latest directorial venture Achcham Yenbadhu Madamaiyada. The film has been lauded by critics and Simbu’s fans, though they have his releases only rarely, have taken a huge liking to the way the film has been made.
It was also rumoured in the press prior to the film’s release that Simbu’s not-so-cooperative attitude resulted in the film’s delayed release. Not saying anything about it, Menon said that he received perfect cooperation from Simbu who never bothered him to narrate to him the entire script.
“I can’t pin-point any particular reason for the delay in releasing my films in theatres but having said that, I can’t cry on-stage like Sivakarthikeyan did,” Menon said and added that he would continue to make films with ‘friend’ Simbu in the lead in future.
