Comedian Vadivelu, who has made a sensible decision to make a comeback to Tamil films by doing what he knows best instead of being adamant in playing lead roles, has said that as far as he was concerned, he was always ‘on top’ with ‘no gap’.
Vadivelu was speaking at the audio-launch of his upcoming comeback film Kaththi Sandai which has Vishal and Tamannaah in the lead. Suraj, who had earlier directed Vadivelu in hilarious comedy sequences in Thalai Nagaram and Marudhamalai, is the director of the film which has Soori, Jagapati Babu and Jayaprakash in lead roles.
Speaking at the event, Vadivelu said “Speakers before me referred to the ‘gap’ that I had left in films as I’m playing a full-fledged comedian after many years. As far as I’m concerned, there is no ‘gap’ as I always feel that I’m only at the ‘top’. Comic sequences featuring me have been shared/downloaded in huge numbers in What’sapp, Facebook, Twitter, etc. and my popular lines in films are repeated at various stages.
“I was waiting for the right script and loved it when Suraj narrated the film’s script. I and Vishal have forged successful combination over the years in films as well as outside films. We are sure our combination would once again prove to be successful for Vishal’s good heart if not for anything else,” Vadivelu said.
