Happy with the success of his latest film Devi (which released in Telugu as Abhinetri and in Hindi as Tutak Tutak Tutiya) actor-director-producer Prabhu Deva, who had made a comeback to Tamil films as hero with Devi after more than a decade, gifted an expensive Audi A3 car to director Vijay.
Starring Prabhu Deva, Tamannaah and Sonu Sood (who also produced the film) in lead roles, Devi released in its Tamil, Telugu and Hindi versions simultaneously on 07th October to cash in on the Navaratri holidays. At a time when Vijay was badly looking for a successful film, he got an unexpected jackpot as Devi was declared a super-hit in all the three languages.
The film also marks Prabhu Deva’s successful comeback to Tamil films as hero. Prabhu Deva and Dr. K. Ganesh, who jointly produced the Tamil and Telugu versions, gifted Vijay an expensive ‘Audi A3’ car yesterday, congratulating him for the response to the film in theatres and its success.
Vijay, who recently separated from his actress-wife Amala Paul, couldn’t have asked for a better beginning to the ‘second innings’ of his life!
